In FY 2020, Accompany Capital stepped up as a financial first responder during the COVID-19 crisis, providing critical relief, affordable financing, and business support to help immigrant, refugee, and underserved entrepreneurs survive unprecedented economic challenges and begin the path toward recovery.
- We deployed 436 new loans totaling $6,840,617, supporting 802 active borrowers and helping entrepreneurs access the capital they needed during one of the most challenging years on record.
- Our financing helped create 201 full-time jobs and 18 part-time jobs, while retaining 1,032 existing positions across New York City’s small business community.
- We provided 6,992 counseling hours to 874 clients and delivered 35 workshops reaching 824 attendees, helping businesses navigate COVID-19 relief programs, reopening strategies, and business resilience.
- Through our COVID-19 response, we secured 164 PPP loans totaling $2.09 million, helped clients access $1.4 million in SBA Disaster Loans, and provided $1.19 million in SBA CARES Act debt relief.
- We launched an Emergency Loan Fund, disbursing 112 emergency loans totaling nearly $1.5 million, and provided 96 emergency grants totaling $81,000 to refugee entrepreneurs facing severe hardship.
