Do you share our commitment to inclusion and to financial access, education, and opportunities for all New Yorkers, whether they crossed an ocean to get here, or just the East River? Here are ways you can help us help our clients create paths to self-sufficiency.
Invest where your funds will have impact and tangible results. When you support hard-working, underserved New York business owners and entrepreneurs they build better futures for themselves and their families, create jobs, and contribute to the financial health and well-being of their communities.
We are very grateful to all our supporters, past and present. With their support, our clients can build better futures for themselves and their families and contribute to the health and well-being of their communities. We are very pleased to announce the creation of the Leonid Ostrovsky Lending Fellowship in memory of our beloved late colleague who served at Accompany Capital from 1997 to 2023.
This is an early-career opportunity for individuals with an interest in small business lending to immigrants and refugees. Previous related work experience is not required. Fluency in a second language, particularly one that is helpful to communities we serve, is highly desirable.
This full-time paid position will require a 12-month commitment to work at Accompany Capital’s office in Jackson Heights, Queens.
The Leonid Ostrovsky Lending Fellow will have the opportunity to receive on-the-job training in leads management, underwriting small business loans, pre and post loan technical assistance, file management, collections, reporting and community outreach and marketing. The Fellow will also engage in research projects and receive mentoring from senior loan officers.

Please email [email protected] or call 212-898-7815 if you have any questions about the fellowship or application process.
This Fellowship is named in memory of Accompany Capital’s Chief Lending Officer from 1997 to 2023, who left an indelible mark on the CDFI sector. Leonid’s passion for small business lending to underserved communities inspired us to create an opportunity for early career professionals, or those wishing to make a career change, to learn and gain paid experience. The Leonid Ostrovsky Lending Fellowship will learn how to provide access to capital to immigrant, refugee, and other underserved entrepreneurs, the importance of which he understood as a Ukrainian refugee.
If you’re interested in supporting the Leonid Ostrovsky Lending Fellowship, please contact Claire Gohorel for more information or donate here.
