Accompany Capital Annual Report 2021

In FY 2021, Accompany Capital helped New York City’s immigrant, refugee, and underserved entrepreneurs navigate the ongoing challenges of the pandemic by providing critical financing, relief resources, and business support that strengthened small businesses and accelerated recovery across the five boroughs.  

 

  • We deployed 319 new loans totaling $7.22 million, our highest annual lending volume to date, supporting 771 active borrowers throughout New York City.  
  • Our financing helped create 29 full-time jobs and 60 part-time jobs, while retaining 1,380 existing positions during a critical period for small businesses. 
  • We provided 6,204 counseling hours to 1,059 clients and delivered 33 workshops reaching 731 attendees, helping entrepreneurs build resilience and adapt to changing business conditions.  
  • Through our COVID-19 response efforts, we helped businesses access 191 PPP loans totaling $4.57 million, more than $5 million in SBA EIDL funding, and hundreds of thousands of dollars in grants, rent relief, and debt relief.  
  • We administered the Queens Small Business Grant Program, successfully processing 111 grants totaling $1.86 million for Queens small businesses and street vendors impacted by COVID-19.  
  • We launched Take Off Now, our first women entrepreneurs business pitch competition, attracting 135 applicants and awarding startup funding to innovative women-owned businesses across New York.
