FY2025 in Review: Investing in New York’s Small Business Community
We are very pleased to announce that our FY2025 Fact Sheet is now available, reflecting a strong year of lending and technical assistance for small business owners in New York City. In fiscal year 2025, Accompany Capital disbursed $7,638,860 across 225 new loans, supporting the launch of 41 new businesses and the expansion or strengthening of 493 more.
These loans helped create 120 full-time and 167 part-time jobs, while retaining 1,267 existing positions. Consistent with our mission, 63% of borrowers were immigrants, 52% were women, and 24% were refugees — demonstrating our continued focus on under served entrepreneurs across all five boroughs.
Looking ahead, we are encouraged by the activity we are already seeing in the current fiscal year and expect to build on FY2025’s results. We remain committed to expanding access to capital, along with our training, counseling, and technical assistance programs, which served 1,366 clients and delivered 7,027 hours of counseling in FY2025 alone, including a growing number of attendees to our 45 workshops.
We are grateful for the continued partnership of our funders and collaboration with partner organizations and city agencies and are looking forward to a terrific FY2026, supporting the small business owners who play such a vital role in New York’s economy and culture.
