Accompany Capital Receives 3-star Impact Management Rating from Aeris

We are very pleased to announce that we have once again received a three-star impact management rating and an A+ financial strength and performance rating from Aeris, the independent rating service that provides comprehensive assessments of the financial strength and impact management of CDFIs.

Participating in Aeris’ rigorous rating process is a demonstration of a fund’s commitment to transparency and accountability regarding both financial performance and community impact. The rating includes two main components:

  • The Impact Management Rating measures the commitment of the fund’s management to achieving its stated impact
  • The Financial Strength and Performance Rating assesses overall creditworthiness

Not all CDFIs Opt to Get an Aeris Rating

We first applied 11 years ago because we wanted an objective tool that would help us review our own progress. Aeris’ annual rating process allows us to do a yearly full scan of our systems and helps keep us on message, on mission, and focused on our goals.

Investors Rely on Aeris Ratings

We are particularly pleased about having maintained our A+ and 3-star ratings because a wide range of investors—including banks, foundations, and fund managers—rely on Aeris ratings to identify and evaluate community investment opportunities that align with their impact objectives and risk criteria.

Since joining the rating process, we have attracted such investors as Grow with Google Small Business Program, the Sachs Family Foundation, the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Wells Fargo, OFN and HSBC’s Good to Grow CDFI Investment Fund, OFN Climate Justice Fund, and most recently Starbucks Community Resilience Fund.

Additional Aeris Benefits

As an Aeris-rated institution, Accompany Capital is also included in the Aeris Cloud, which gives investors access to Wall Street-quality real-time financial and impact performance data about community investment funds. It has also given us access to the Aeris Explorer, the first web-based CDFI analytics tool which helps us benchmark our performance against peers through charts and graphs that summarize historical trends for key performance metrics, as well as the Aeris Performance Map dashboard, which tracks key performance metrics over time.
