Sunita came to the United States from Nepal in 2007, and owns Shuvashree Inc./Sapphire Nails & Spa, which offers a suite of luxury spa services. Initially working in other salons to support her family, Sunita’s business background and years of salon experience motivated her to start her own enterprise, and in 2012 she opened her first salon and spa on the Upper East Side. Sunita approached BCNA in 2014 to purchase new equipment and refinance a high-interest loan, and has since opened a second salon in Midtown. Her two spas have created more than 20 jobs for New Yorkers.
