An Art Event with a Heart: Benefiting Refugees
Over 250 people joined BCNA on April 20th at 524W26 Gallery in Chelsea for the opening of BCNA’s first ever Art Benefit Sale, a pop-up group exhibition with work by 32 acclaimed and emerging international artists.
Many of the artists who so generously offered their work were there as well as many luminaries from the Art world, 
and we are thrilled that a portion of the proceeds will benefit refugees enrolled in BCNA’s Individual Development Account (IDA) Program, which provides refugees with matching funds which can be used to pay for further education or re-certification, starting or growin a small business, or the down payment on a first home.
A special thanks to curator and art historian Yu Yeon Kim and contributing 
artist Stephen Pusey for their help in organizing the show, and to the West Chelsea Building for use of the stunning exhibition space. And thanks of course to our entire BCNA staff for their help making the opening such a success.
“We are so honored that these talented artists offered their exciting work in
support of refugees who are building a new life in New York City,” said Executive Director Yanki Tshering, “and we look forward to collaborating with them again.”
